The first room you enter is the pressing room. Here, garments are prepared for clients with utmost care and attention to detail.
This is where garments are steamed, pressed, and hung on hangers in preparation for fittings and pickups.
The pressing room is an essential part of the bespoke tailoring process as it ensures that garments are in top shape and ready for the next step of the process.
Fitting ROom
The fitting room is where the magic happens. Here, clients are measured, and the fitting process begins.
The room is designed to serve two purposes: first, to take measurements and perform a try-on process to better understand the fit of the client; and second, to help clients choose the perfect fabric for their garments.
When clients step into the fitting room, they are greeted with a variety of fabric options from some of the best mills in the world.
Before they start exploring their options, I take the time to explain the details and nuances of each fabric, including the weight, composition, and any special weaving techniques used.
The way I see it, the more you know about fabrics, the better decisions you make as well as the more appreciation you’ll have for your suit.
Lounge
Before the fitting process, clients can relax and unwind in the lounge area enjoying water or coffee.
This space is designed to be a welcoming and comfortable environment where clients can browse through old fabric books and get a feel for the quality of the fabrics used in 1701 Bespoke garments.
The space is decorated with exposed brick and wooden beams, creating a classic, refined atmosphere that perfectly complements the bespoke tailoring experience and gives the juxtaposition of the classic ruggedness of Detroit and the elegance of luxury clothing.
Work Room
Finally, The Work Room is where the real craftsmanship takes place. This is where the owner does pattern-making work and ensures that all aspects of the bespoke tailoring process are running smoothly.
With a stunning view of the city, The Work Room is a peaceful and inspiring space that helps the owner focus on the task at hand. It’s the perfect place to put the finishing touches on a bespoke garment or create a new pattern to set 1701 Bespoke apart from the competition.
